Spring

13 Mar

Earth awakens now

sunshine returns to the land

the days get longer

***

grass begins to green

dormant seeds show signs of life

flowers show beauty

***

birds winging back north

animal babies are bornĀ

my excitement grows

aside from Autumn, Spring is my other favorite season. Odd, considering one is dying and the other is birth. I love your reflection here and the photo is great!

It has been snowing all day here – very unusual for Vancouver Island – but weather is weird everywhere now. But we have an hour more daylight in the evening, very exciting. ARE those baby goats? I wondered if they were puppies…..or lop eared rabbits? Baby ANYTHINGS make me go ecstatic! Loved your hopeful poem.

They are goats. We have six now and two more girls to kid next week. Then I’ll have a whole bunch more in June.

Really like the natural progression illustrated in each haiku. Really like how you used the haikus to illicit that feeling. Really nice job. Thanks
