For A Word With Laurie this week, its final week, the word of choice is phantasmagoric. What an awesome word! Be sure to visit Real Toads for more participants in the challenge. I confess, I chose the dripping faucet as my topic because I wanted to show off my water drop pictures.
drip,
drip, drip
incessant noise
batters my ears
ping, ping, ping,
plinking against
stainless steel sink
phantasmagoric torture
never ending rhythm
beating in my brain
wanting to scream
for sacred silence
splash, splash,
splash

Beautiful, Teresa… a visual and auditory treat! Thanks for taking part.
Really awesome water shots!
There’s nothing worse than the sound of a dripping faucet. Temporarily, you can tie a rag around the faucet, so that it hangs down to the bottom of the sink. That won’t stop the leak, but it will stop the maddening noise until you can fix it properly.
Your photograph of the water drops is so cool.
Those are fantastic water photos
words as beautiful as the images
Awesome images!!! I love your take and funny I used the word, “plink,” too!!
A good marriage between words and photos…great dripping drops photos ! I can see why you chose the topic to showcase the them.
HOW did you take those incredible photos? They are so beautiful. The sound is annoying but the art you created from them is amazing!
HERE is how I did the photos.
And very beautiful they are, too! Thanks! Better than water torture of the sounds from a dripping tap.
I know this hell. Well captured.
Oh that annoying sound…What gorgeous photographs!!
That sound is almost as bad if not worse as when during a test for something someone is tapping their pen. Tap, tap, tap. You did a nice job capturing that.
