Rising above the rest,

A giant in the forest:

mighty, strong and proud.

Fingers tickling the clouds;

arms embracing the birds.

Fall beauty beyond mere words.

Braced against the elements’ wrath,

blizzards, winds and storms cross its path.

The resilience of bending, not breaking, a limb

comes with divine love, a gift of Him.

Today’s prompt at One Single Impression is “champion.”

This is also submitted to Jingle’s Poetry Potluck where the prompt is the seven deadly sins.
