Friday Flash 55

11 Nov

The weather is getting colder; the days are getting shorter.  Before you know it, the snowflakes will be flying, and we’ll be hard pressed to find any fresh food anywhere.  Then we’ll have to break into our store of acorns.  We need to put on our winter coats and hunker down with our loved ones.

This is part of Friday Flash 55, a story written in exactly 55 words.  If you’ve written a Flash 55, let G-Man know.  He’ll come visit and leave a comment.  Be sure to visit HERE for more Flash 55s.

This is so not squirrel porn! Just hanging out together, posing for the camera!

I remember when teachers made it sound as if squirrels slept the entire winter away, safely and comfortably curled up in a ball the whole time.

The little dear ones always forget where they buried those darn acorns though , nice 55er,

I leave them treats to help them get by during those cold days ahead,,,

The ones around here feast on dog food all winter–very fat.

I love the shot, Teresa. They look like they’re posing for you🙂 (I’m in snow-soon-coming denial)

Nice 55 Razz, even if it did give me a chill!

Cute! I love the squirrels too, there is something so sweet about their absent-minded storage strategies. They are always moving around my tulip and daffodil bulbs in their efforts and each spring I enjoy witnessing the flowers popping up in strange places.🙂
