Dressed in her purest white,
Nature celebrates the turn
of another new season.
Joyful winter is here at last.
While most of the land rests
beneath a blanket of snow,
the conifer doesn’t give in
but wears her festive green
adorned with a veil of white.

Happy Potluck, Teresa.
I so miss the beauty of a snowy covered morning, lightly covered that is… out in my area we have had much rain and now warm temperatures. Thanks for sharing your conifers covered in their white veil.
I love the first coat of snow, how it dresses conifers in a veil of white. Thanks for the picture.
LOL, well, sometimes I hate Winter, too, but when I can walk among the trees and see the beauty, for awhile I forget the other side.
A really pretty poem. : )
I hate winter, but I’m glad it has someone to love it the way you obviously do here. I can almost tolerate it now. π Thanks for all your many kind words and visits, Teresa, and I hope your New Year is the best.

The picture and the words make such a beautiful flow together – thanks for the delightful read!
Like the idea of the conifer standing out, unaffected by winter’s blanket. Very clear and precise poem!
