Innocence Lost

snowfall smothers the sound

of tears rolling down my cheek

and dropping as frozen pebbles

onto the pristine white snow

as I mourn the loss of innocence

  1. Your poem is pure innocent magic falling softly from your pen to paper to our eyes. A gentle poem you write, awakened my childhood dreams.

  2. Ack.. this was a tight one, Teresa… I am only trying to imagine the depths of your poem as I watch it snow outside right now…
    Really beautifully penned, my dear..
Innocence is quite a lovely treasure, isn’t it?!
