fingers dancing on the keys

a melody floats through

the air to waiting audience

without his reading a single note

to the the listener, it is

apparent he plays the

piano not with the deft fingers

but with the touch of his heart

his joys, his pains, his fears

strumming against the keys

to share his feelings with the world

I am linking this to Jingle’s Poetry Potluck.
