Woodland Memories

Vague thoughts of talking

with furry woodland creatures

memories or dream?

As a lonely child

these animals were my friends

try remembering

Were they real or not?

How to tell child’s fantasy

from true memories

Jumbled together

dreams and reality crash

tangled confusion

  1. Yes! A child’s memory tends to record fantasy and reality together, finding little need to separate them! Asan adult, trying to find the real thought back then, can be difficult! Lovely haikus!
