Haiku

Today’s topic at Sensational Haiku Wednesday is relief.  The writing challenge at Real Toads today is also haiku.  So here you go…

delicate blossom

late snow covers the bud

frozen in beauty

***

fingers toes and nose

chilled by the bitter cold wind

hot chocolate relief

***

warm crackling fire

dancing merrily along

water douses cheer

  1. Lovely, the images in this set! But for the purposes of the teikei fixed-form challenge, I am afraid the syllable count is a little off. Remember, you can use the generic 5-7-5 format or compress it to the translated 12-syllable count!

Regardless, these are wonderful modern haiku. Thank you for sharing!
