Wearing green and smiling big

waiting for the parade to start

Green and gold beads thrown

to the crowd.

Cheering with joy, kids race

to catch their prize.

Parents sending kids home

with grandparents;

Time for adult celebration:

green beer

cabbage and potatoes

green beer

corned beef

green beer

“Kiss me, I’m Irish!”

green beer…

Here’s my late humble offering for G-Man’s Friday Flash 55.

  1. This had me grinning all the way through, Teresa! It’s been years since I tasted the “green” beer – lol! (probably because the one time I tasted it going down and then I ended up tasting it coming up! lol)

    • A little useless trivia~my first legal beer was green! I was tending bar on St. Patrick’s Day, so when midnight hit and it was my birthday, someone bought me a green beer. 🙂

  2. Takes me back to my Chicago ‘green river’–and plenty of us drank one, too. Happy St Pat’s to you, and may all your goats enjoy their springtime eatin o’the green. ;_)

    • You would not believe how hard it was to take green hats into the barnyard after a winter of hay. They all thought I had something delicious to eat instead of pretty hats to wear!

  3. I’m not Irish…
But I’ll eat, drink, and ‘Do’ Mary….hehehehe
    Loved your Festive 55 Teresa
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
