Creation

elemental knowledge

the secret of life beats within

how they came together

before god and goddess

a shimmering strand of hair,

a fine thread of divine spirit,

wove the elements together

to animate and give life

all living creatures

those of earth

those of air

those of fire

those of water

are joined by spirit

    • Teresa…?
And you didn’t know if you could come up with one…now this?
Man this was creative and spiritual.
      Loved your Fantastic 55!!!
You are getting better every week…At Everything!!
Thanks for this little Gem, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

  1. This is fabulous Teresa! You have tapped in to some primal memories here – these lines resonate with the cadences of Oral Tradition. I love the idea of the single strand weaving all creation together. Thank you for participating in the RT challenge.

    • And Sorry, I also had an Oops moment here – didn’t notice the email info was still set to my daughter’s stuff – that last was a Kerry comment, as is this 🙂

      • Except that I don’t see my first comment… sorry for making a mess of things here.

I think your poem is just magnificent, Teresa. So exactly right for the challenge, the idiom, voice and power of the spoken word are all so strongly felt. i am very glad that you rose to this challenge. I loved reading this poem.

  2. Oh crap, that could be embarrassing on the “First” I just wrote. 🙂 Forgot about the moderation thingy. 🙂

    Anyhoo,

gorgeous word meld about spirits in one shimmering strand of hair that still beats with love in everything.

    xo
