The perfect theme for a summertime haiku!

all throughout July

summer’s hot sun glaring

dancing in its flames

heat from the pavement

rising through the car floor boards

burning through the miles

    • The fan went out on my recent trip, and my son had to explain to me that moving air on the highway was enough to keep the engine cool. That only left the heat radiating off the pavement making my feet so hot.
