Saturday Night

Watching the fireflies;

Sparking a bonfire;

Singing with the birds;

Dancing on the moon;

Raising glorious energy;

Sending love into the Universe;

A witch’s Saturday night!

This is my contribution to the open links for Real Toads and d’Verse Poets.

  1. While I imagine the first two lines were written as two separate actions (consistent with the rest of it) there is something quite lovely about the image of fireflies sparking bonfires themselves!

  2. Hedgewitch’s comment reminded me I was a goat-sitter for a while, years ago. My sister decided having goats would be fun, but forgot she lived in a city, so she sent them to live with me in the country until a more suitable home was found for them. They were certainly very cute.
    Love your Saturday night poem, Teresa.

  3. You definitely stroked my aura with this one, Teresa. ;_) And I am now a goat lady by proxy, as my new neighbor just got two of them–one is just a baby with long floppy ears(my husband says Nubian?) the other an adorable black and white. They come to the fence and greet me every day. I love it.
