The Form for All challenge at d’Verse Poets is to write a Tritina, a poetry form created by Marie Ponsot.  It is a structured ten line poem. You can read about the form at d’Verse Poets and dont’ forget to check out all the great poems linked up.

the sadness in my heart

weighs upon my soul

until it comes out in song

healing nature of my song

releases angst from heart

and brings joy to the soul

the joy within my soul

expressed as poetic song

gives wings to my heart

gentle heart, beautiful soul, poetry’s song

  1. This really flows line by line, they seem fluid as water. A lovely example of the form, and one I can definitely relate to.

  2. lovely…music can make all the difference…i find it hard to sing and not find joy…even if a dirge in allowing that emotion to pour out…really nicely done to form…sorry it took me a bit…i cant access you page from school…

  3. oh nice…there certainly is a healing nature in the songs we sing with a heavy heart…i love both…singing and writing when i feel down…often i end up at the piano then, worshipping…
