Autumn

September Haiku Day 5:  Autumn.  You can visit Haiku Heights for more autumn themed haiku.

autumn leaves falling

twirling, dancing through the air

take a final bow

brisk autumn morning

cold fingers on full udder

face against warm fur

the cat grows fuzzy

summer gardens dying down

fall settling in

  1. Did I imagine it, or did you get a little Joni Mitchell into your third Haiku?
I love the final bow, the cold face and warm fur, and–here’s the refrain, check it out:

“I get the urge for going
When the meadow grass is turning brown
Summertime is falling down and winter is closing in”
