Monday means it’s time for the Open Link at Imaginary Garden with Real Toads.

Dearest Mother Nature

lamenting her destruction

cries quiet snowflakes

for deaf ears to hear.

The silent crash of

wet flakes splatting

against  my window pane,

melting tears streaking

the pristine glass surface,

leaves me melancholy

on a dark winter’s night.
