For A Word With Laurie this week, its final week, the word of choice is phantasmagoric.  What an awesome word!  Be sure to visit Real Toads for more participants in the challenge.  I confess, I chose the dripping faucet as my topic because I wanted to show off my water drop pictures.

water drop

drip, drip

incessant noise

batters my ears

ping, ping, ping,

plinking against

stainless steel sink

phantasmagoric torture

never ending rhythm

beating in my brain

wanting to scream

for sacred silence

splash, splash,

water drop

  1. There’s nothing worse than the sound of a dripping faucet. Temporarily, you can tie a rag around the faucet, so that it hangs down to the bottom of the sink. That won’t stop the leak, but it will stop the maddening noise until you can fix it properly.

Your photograph of the water drops is so cool.
