Dangerous Rose

Here is my offering to both Real Toads and d’Verse Poets for their open links.  Thanks to my nephew’s sweet gift of roses to his girlfriend for my inspiration.

Red velvet rose petals

caress kissable mouth,

silk on smoother silk.

Sultry and sensuous

dew drops of desire

drip from wet lips.

Tracing sacred spaces

with tender flower touches;

beware the thorn’s prick.

  1. nice gotcha in the end…all the soft and sensuous bits of a rose…so delicate and beautiful…but as the great bard Brett Michaels said…every rose has its thorn…smiles.

  2. beware the thorn’s prick…ha..smiles…roses are beautiful and sensuous flowers with their velvety touch…and lovely that your nephew bought some for his girlfriend..
