Sin

Here is my offering for G-Man’s Friday Flash 55.  I’m also linking to the Open Link at Real Toads.

sunset

Sin’s haunting sky eyes

reveal ancient soul within

fighting for freedom,

wild and untamed beneath

Moon’s watchful gaze.

Twilight caresses horizon;

shuddering sighs across hills.

Sun blushes and retreats

leaving child of the night

to dance in darkness–

drinking deeply of wine,

remembering lifetimes ago,

wishing a return to the old,

when wild ways ruled.

      • Hi, this is Susan from blogger, but I have a word press site as well for business. Anyway, your use of alliteration is beautiful, particularly with the d and s. This would sound beautiful aloud. And that last line is priceless.

  1. Wild and old ways would be good to some extent- Nature needs to be appreciated as is-
    for what is! nice poem!

  2. Sun blushes and retreats
    leaving child of the night
    to dance in darkness

… I remember “her” but must utter Brian’s “oy” above 🙂

  3. Holy Crap Lady!!
    This was intense.
Great pic, loved the poem and the form .
You just keep getting better and better.
There’s an art to being poetic AND being understood… Hehehe
    Loved your Sinful 55
    Thanks for your great support.
And have a Kick Ass Week End
