Surroundings

It’s Friday Flash 55!  I’m late, but I’ve been distracted looking at the back side of goats.  We have seven girls due to give birth between today and next Saturday!  I won’t be sleeping much, and I might get a bit goofy as the sleep deprivation sets in, but I can’t wait to have kids running around again!

up in the morning

grind the day away

for a dollar or two

while they hate me,

call me names, and

refuse my services;

surrounded by grief,

hatred, and anger

running rampant on

my fragile psyche,

beating me down

leaves me lost,

questioning why I

even bother coming

every day to this

barrage of abuse

  1. Teresa…?
How in the World can anyone hate YOU?
    Methinks you overstate a bit…:P
But it does make a great story.
I can’t wait to see the new Kids!
    Loved your Lamenting 55
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End

…just think what a difference you can make with who you are!!! Smile, help, and it will make a difference for some. Perhaps not all. Yes, you make a difference. And can’t wait to see some photos of the new babies. I had a few baby goats when I was a girl. They are so sweet.

  3. Teresa, this hurts to read. Hopefully, things will improve for you. It has to be overwhelming at times. And you’ve got your hands full enough with all the kids being born!

Brian’s right – your novel cover is ultra cool! You’re so creative!

  4. ugh. i feel you in this…there are def some environments i would rather not go to…and if i am going to be abused, why should i…what is the point…is it worth the little bit i get from it? i feel you in this for sure…

dont know if i just havent noticed it before or what, but your book cover looks really cool…
