Beltane Blessings

Over at Real Toads, Mama Zen has assigned the task of writing an unprompted poem with no more than 45 words.  Since it is May 1st, it seems appropriate to celebrate Beltane, the mid-point between spring and summer.  I’m also sharing for the open link at d’Verse Poets.

pasture in spring

bathed in sunlight

verdant grass growing

birds and bugs abound;

potent with virile life

the horned Green Man

paints vibrant spring,

spreading his seed

upon Mother Nature’s

open canvas womb

  1. I enjoyed your imagery here, reaching back into myth to see the art and the lustful actions of Green man and Goddess. A surprise in my today! How glad I am that I stopped here a while.
