Seasonal Blue Moon

I was outside last night enjoying and photographing the beautiful seasonal blue moon.  Then I visit Real Toads this morning and find Izzy’s Out of Standard challenge is to write a poem inspired by last night’s moon.  Of course, the twist is to do it without mentioning night or sky.  I hope this meets the challenge.

great hunter rises
flirting behind clouds
inviting to join the chase
Diana leading the way
deep into the darkness
revealing wary prey
beneath her silvery sheen

  1. That was one of the ways I thought of approaching this prompt–but it sort of slithered away from me–your poem to Artemis/Diana is a gift to the Huntress, and her beautiful and far-seeing silver eye.
