Gentle Eyes

Today’s challenge at Real Toads is to write about eyes.  I love my steer MJ’s eyes.  They melt my heart.

Steer Eye

dark liquid pools of
quiet inner strength,
unadulterated love
shining from the
huge heart within;
a gentle giant
walking the land,
watching and waiting
to see his love returned;
inner peace emanates,
enveloping with his
soulful glance,
a mighty teacher
of our purpose to
love and be loved.

  1. 🙂 MJ is a nice and loving cow, Teresa, I can tell. Cows and other animals return the love we show more than 100%. Adi (RIP) loved me sooo much, one little harsh word hurt her very badly. But it didn’t last, she still loved me and let me know. My cows and pigs all loved me too back when I was on the farm.
