smooth as honey
laden with lies
sweet words flow
effortlessly from
ruby-red lips
promises forgotten
vows broken
heart shattered
sharp as a knife
honey-dipped words
destroy our love

  1. Oh dear, hypocrisy and falseness can hurt more than anything, can’t it? I like the repetition of honey throughout, although treacle also comes to mind… something sickly sweet. (Honey is too nice!)
