A Quadrille

Today’s task at d’Verse Poets is to write a quadrille (short poem of exactly 44 words) using the word spark (or some variant). My humble offering follows.  I’m also sharing with Real Toads for their open link.

Full Moon

Night sky cloaks
a silent world below.
Mistress Moon peers down,
a silent knowing
pervades her smile
at all she sees.

A single star
sparkles high above;
Sun burns bright–
a fresh new morning
hides our sins of last night
within his harsh daylight.

  1. Nice! I really like the line “a silent knowing pervades her smile at all she sees”. That intrigues me, wondering what secrets she holds.

  2. A conspiracy here, I’m supposing that your “seeing all” moon next hides and calms what the bright sun has scorched. Nice quadrille, Teresa.
