Woodpecker Tanka

Today’s challenge at Real Toads is to write a poem inspired by the artwork of Kaoro Kawano. I really  liked the image shared at Real Toads, Tree Girl with Woodpeckers.  I decided to use the Tanka format.  I’m also sharing with d’Verse Poets for their open link.
